Handmade valentine’s day ornaments

After the strong wind and pouring rain over night a couple of weeks ago, I found a couple of nice branches in our front yard, so I saved them.
Ever since then, I wanted to decorate them. So I decided to use Valentine’s day decoration as a good excuse to make some time.

I found a perfect yarn at Jo Ann Fabrics for the occasion. I also had leftover felt I could use to make a few things. So here is what the whole thing looks like.

Have you ever made anything for Valentine’s day such as sweater, cookies, chocolate…?

I used to live in Bernal Heights and loved the Cortland Ave. There is a nice grocery store, lots of cute cafes, great restaurants… The weather is pretty good for San Francisco, too.

Well, there is a house for sale I photographed, so I thought I would share. The seller did a great job fixing up!

Have you visited new Peninsula Humane Society location yet? It is much bigger and nicer for animals. It is also very convenient, just off 101 near Broadway exit in Burlingame.

They are also offering spaces for kids’ birthday parties and company meetings. Space fee is very reasonable and the fee is actually a donation.

Look for special event manager on their contact page for kids’ birthday party and VP of community relations for company meetings.

Feel good holiday gift idea

It is not too early to think about holiday gifts especially when they can help animals at a shelter.

Peninsula Humane Society is partnering up with Calendarlink.org , so every $20 order, Peninsula Humane Society will get $10. You can buy calendars with the shelter’s animals’ photos or your personal photos.
