Costa Rica Trip – Monteverde 1

The first place we went was Monteverde.  We rented a 4WD SUV to drive there from San Jose.   After driving on paved roads for 2.5 hrs, we stop by and have lunch.  Roads are mostly on lane with occasional passing lane. Not sure if they have traditional food or not…

Stopped by after 2.5 hrs of driving from San Jose

Now we keep going to Monteverde…

After 1.5 hrs of unpaved roads, we arrive at Mariposa B&B! We followed GPS’s direction, but we are not sure if it was the best way or fastest way…

Cute!  They serve breakfast here. A friendly cat greeted us.

We check in and walk into our room and there is a cute towel origami on our bed!  We can see some wild life right in front of our room, too.

They have 3 rooms with a double and single bed in each room.  The bathroom is tiny.  NO room to put bathroom stuff at all. Extra hangers would be good…

It only rained once for about 20 min today.  It is not as bad as we thought…
