I am compiling a list of off-leash dog park near San Francisco and try to visit as many as we can!
- Alamo Square in SF – no fence.
- St. Mary’s Park – fenced-in. closed during the rainy season. just one big area for both small and large dogs.
- Baker Beach in SF
- Buena Vista Park in SF
- Crissy Field in SF
- McLaren Park – there is a pond dogs can swim in. there is no large open area, but tons of trails to walk on. the off leash area is not big. I saw more large dogs than small ones. It is not easy to find the dog area, but for google map, use this address. 229-279 John F Shelley Dr. San Francisco, CA 94134
- Ocean Beach in SF – between staircase #21 and north-end of the beach
- Stern Grove in SF – not fenced in, but far from streets. great in summer, but it gets very muddy during the rainy season.
- Bayside Park in Burlingame – fenced-in. it is hard to find. you just have to park in the parking lot and look for a sign. not very big and lots of big dogs… we left without going in. Mochi is not good with large dogs.
- Foster City Dog Run(Boat Park) – fenced-in dog run. separated areas for small and large dogs. we were there on sunday and it was packed! i love the park, especially during the rainy season since they have artifitial grass. mochi could not find anybody he liked… but i think he had fun. i heard it can be stinky during the summer.
- Commodore Dog Park in San Bruno – fenced-in dog run. separated areas for small and large dogs.
- Cipriani Dog Park in Belmont – people do not seem to like this park… but it is a fenced-in park.
