We took Mochi and our friend’s dog to Sunday Streets.  It was fun!  We were not sure how Mochi would be with lots of kids and large dogs we expected to see, but he did ok.

It was warm, so I brought water for them, but forgot to bring any for ourselves!

There were a lot of dogs there, and I think it is a great event to bring them to, but we really had to watch out for out of control kids and bicycles.

I was taking pictures of bags that will be sold on Etsy.com.  Then Mochi decided he needs to be in one of them…

some of doggie friends from a dog park get together once a week. it is a great group for dogs, but their parents have fun also.

I finally brought my camera and took some photos.  I just found out about this feature on a site that host most of my photos.  I can embed little thumbnails here.

Mochi seems to like it, but it will take a while to chew that. $3.64 for 2 pcs.
A beef tendon does not last for a few days any more…

A vet at Coastal Holistic said Mochi is lacking calcium, so I should give him some bones. She mentioned there is a ground meet for dogs and it has ground up bones and organs dogs need. Also, chewing bones would be good for his teeth. So I went to Pawtrero Hill Bathhouse and Feed in Potrero Hill to buy raw and frozen Chicken neck bones and ground meet. I was going to cook the ground meet with veges, but sometimes there are bigger pieces of bones in there, so it is safer to feed him raw.
So I started out mixing a bit of the raw meet into his regular home cooked meal. After about a week, I totally switched to raw meet and cooked vege without brown rice as the vet recommended. The meet I bought was only $4 for 2LB, which is same or cheaper than meet I was buying to make his food.
I also add muti-vitamin for dogs and salmon oil for his dry skin.
As for raw chicken neck bones… I only let him eat that in our back yard.
His breath smells much better also, so I think bones are cleaning his teeth as our vet mentioned. I used to give him greenies and dental chews everyday, and brushed his teeth a couple times a week, but his breath smelled bad. It is much better now only after a week.

Mochi seemed to have an environmental allergy, rather than food allergy, so he had a blood test. Sure enough, he is highly sensitive to Dandelion and Russian Thistle. Our vet recommended to give him shots. But I was told by a few people that those shots can be hard on his heart. So I bought herb blend called Only Natural Pet Immune Balance from Only Natural pet.com. But it didn’t help him after 1.5 months. So we made an appointment with a holistic vet, Coastal Holistic in Pacifica this friday. I hope they can help him…

We went to a fenced in dog park a couple of weekends ago. Seal Point Dog Park in San Mateo. Although it is all dirt, we still liked it. There is an area with roof. The area for large dogs is huge! There were lots of bulldogs. Not too far from down town san mateo, so we went to a soft serve place there afterwards.
